Intergenerational Training Summer 2024
B.R.I.A.N is a training initiative funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
It aims to encourage intergenerational projects across the community. We look at what Intergenerational Practice means, the roles of stereotypes & ageism, and how to plan & implement intergenerational projects within the community.
We are offering further training on:
5 & 12 June 2024
10.00am 1.00 pm at The Trinity Centre, Market Place, North Ormesby Middlesbrough TS3 6LD
AND
16 & 23 July 2024
1.00pm - 4.00pm at The Trinity Centre, Market Place, North Ormesby Middlesbrough TS3 6LD
Attendance at both sessions is recommended.
This course will cover the following areas
- The origins of intergenerational practice and what we mean by it
- The role of stereotypes and ageism
- The principles of intergenerational practice
- The features of good intergenerational practice
- How to plan an intergenerational project
- How to evaluate an intergenerational project
- The possible obstacles and challenges involved in Intergenerational work and strategies for overcoming them.
