The Story we Made Together

Tees Music Alliance are running a project called #digitaltenderness which is a programme aimed at improving wellbeing, tackling mental health issues and reducing isolation through creativity.

#DigitalTenderness is kindly funded by The National Lottery Community Fund – made possible by the generosity of National Lottery players.

As part of this programme, we have created a Christmas Community project. We are working with local actresses and storytellers to bring a performance + interactive, creative community workshops to Tees Valley. The show is on 7th December at 6pm hosted at The Georgian Theatre and it's called 'The Story We Made Together At Christmas'.

In connection with the performance - we're running 5 free workshops across the Tees Valley area covering Hartlepool, Saltburn, Darlington, Stockton and Middlesbrough where the attendees will help us shape the story! Whilst the attendees don't need to worry about performing, they will be part of the creation process as we will create props for the show, learn the songs and be part of creating a magical Christmas Story which will be performed on 7th December by Samantha Wright & Emma Guppy.

We would love for this project to bring the community together, no matter what age or experience. This is specifically designed to allow everyone to access the arts and we're so grateful that the venues we are hosting these sessions from, are allowing us to use their spaces for free.
