Finance Officer

The Trustee Board is seeking applications for a Finance Officer – someone with the professional knowledge, qualifications, and experience to support the charity’s high quality work in tackling poverty and supporting local communities to thrive and flourish across the two boroughs of Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.

We are looking for someone who has a track record of providing robust financial support, and knowledge of grant funding and compliance processes - someone who can work on their own initiative and provide clear, and focused, Board level financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Chief Officer, to provide strong financial support in the challenging landscape currently faced by the voluntary sector. We are in the process of finalising Together Middlesbrough & Cleveland’s five-year business plan and funding strategy; and have several significant developments underway.

Hours: The post is 0.2 (1 day per week) full time equivalent, with variable and flexible hours. There is potential for this to be increased, up to a maximum 0.4 (2 days per week) FTE, for an initial period. The post is permanent or can be on a self-employed basis.

Salary: £30,000 pa pro rata, or an agreed Hourly Rate.

Due to the current Government COVID 19 guidance on social distancing, interviews will take place online in May.

Closing Date: Monday 18th May 2020 at 5pm
